Questions

Everything couples ask us

If yours is not here, email hello@blushinvites.com and a person will answer.

Using it

Will older guests manage it?

This is the question everyone asks, and it is the thing we design hardest for. The invitation opens in whatever browser is already on the phone. Nothing to install, no account, no password. Text is large, buttons are large, and there is only ever one obvious thing to tap next. If a guest genuinely cannot open it, you still have the printed QR cards and you can screenshot the invitation and send it as a picture.

What do guests actually receive?

A single link. Most couples paste it into a family WhatsApp group or send it individually. When it arrives it shows a preview card with your names and photo, so it looks like an invitation before it is even opened.

Does it work without internet at the venue?

Guests need a connection to open it the first time. Once opened it stays cached on their phone, so the details and the map still work on the day even where signal is poor. Uploading photos needs signal or wifi — one reason we suggest asking your venue for the guest wifi password and putting it on your QR cards.

Can we see who has opened it?

You see who has replied, which is what actually matters. We do not track individual guests around the page — that felt uncomfortable to build and most couples agree once they think about it.

Making it

How long does it take?

A first draft within 24 hours on Signature, 12 hours on Heirloom, 48 on Essential. Most couples then ask for one or two rounds of changes, so from order to live is usually two or three days. If your wedding is next week, say so and we will prioritise it.

We have no photos yet. Is that a problem?

Not at all — perhaps a third of our couples order before their engagement shoot. We use our own illustrated artwork in the meantime, and swap your photographs in later at no cost.

Can you match our paper stationery?

Yes. Send a photo or PDF of what you have and we will match the palette, the typeface and the wording so the two feel like one set. This is common for couples doing paper for family and digital for friends.

Can it be in two languages?

Yes — we set both languages down the page or as a toggle, whichever reads better for your guest list. It is €39 as an add-on and included on Heirloom.

Do you do save-the-dates too?

Yes. A save-the-date is just a shorter version of the same invitation, and we build it from the same link so guests who bookmarked it early see the full invitation appear when you are ready.

Photos and privacy

Who can see the guest photo album?

Only people with your link. It is not indexed by search engines and it is not public. If you would rather guests could upload but not browse what others have posted, we can turn the wall off and keep uploads private to you — just ask.

Can we remove a photo?

Yes, instantly, from your own panel. You can also require approval before anything appears, which some couples prefer for the reception.

Who owns the photos?

You and your guests do. We store them so uploads work from anywhere, and we hand you the full-quality originals whenever you ask. The album stays open for two months after your wedding, so download it before then and it is yours forever — we will remind you before it closes. We do not use anyone's photographs in our marketing unless you offer and we ask again in writing.

What data do you keep about our guests?

Only what they type into the RSVP: their name, whether they are coming, and anything optional they add. It is stored for you, sent to you, and deleted along with the photos two months after your wedding. We never sell it and we never email your guests.

Money

Is there a subscription?

No. One payment covers the design, the changes and the hosting for a year after your wedding. There is nothing to cancel.

When do we pay?

After you have seen your draft and asked for any changes. If you do not like it, you do not pay and we part on good terms.

What if the wedding is postponed?

We change every date free of charge and extend your hosting to match. If it is cancelled entirely, tell us and we will refund what we reasonably can — we would rather be decent about it than argue.
